February 28, 4pm Building Peace: Democracy Challenged
February 28 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
After nearly a year away, the popular discussion series, Building Peace, returns to the museum calendar in February.
Elizabeth Gish is a program officer at The Kettering Foundation where she works with research programs in faith and public life, higher education, and philanthropy. She brings decades of experience in community work, faith-based work, and higher education to her role at the Foundation.
Her work focuses on how everyday people can work across differences to identify common ground and act together in ways that strengthen communities and well-being.
Gish will speak about Democracy and the recent events of the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill, what that means for the United States, and the world. The Building Peace series is scheduled for every even-numbered month and will feature a new and knowledgeable guest and topic each month. The Zoom and registration link for the free program will be posted one week before the event on this page and on the museum’s Facebook page.
