When the Museum considered all the many ways to teach kindness to children, the one idea that stood out the most was teaching empathy through animals. Children are naturally drawn to animals and quickly understand animals need to be treated with kindness and care. The new Children’s room will give kids the opportunity to explore kindness and empathy through their natural curiosity and love for animals.

Through the design work of Ray Zupp and Tristan Cupp, the team is preparing a special place in the new museum that is 100% kid-friendly and will inspire awe even in adult visitors. The room will feature opportunities for play, reading, interactive games, and many stories featuring both wild and not-so-wild animals of all kinds.
