Despite the public closing of the Dayton Peace Museum due to the Coronavirus, the Board of Directors, the Executive Director and a small group of volunteers continue to plan for the future. Part of the continuation of the museum’s vision and mission is evolving as we consider the very real possibility of being a virtual museum for the next year and unable to offer our normal schedule of monthly programs, yoga, meditation, and exhibits.

Our annual summer camp has been canceled for 2020 with the possibility of more significant postponements and cancelations later in the Summer and Fall. The Museum has lost significant and needed income to run the organization and to maintain our 19th century home.

At the same time, the Museum continues to seek highly-motivated and skilled people to provide leadership on our Board of Directors, advisory council, and volunteers to run the physical and virtual aspects of the Museum.

We are also in need of corporate sponsorships and partnerships with organizations interested in finding common ground and mutual aid in this difficult time.
