2019 was the Dayton International Peace Museum’s 10th year of Summer Peace Camp. Each year the theme and focus are on peace-building skills our campers can apply — not only during Peace Camp but in their daily lives. The week-long camp featured games, music, art, gardening, and opportunities to learn about wholesome food choices. Friday’s annual banquet was held at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
New camp director, Lesley Thomas was joined by long-time former director, Beth Titus to celebrate the transition of leadership and in welcoming the largest group of campers and volunteers ever. The University of Dayton media department was on hand to document the unique work that goes into a peace camp at the country’s only peace museum. The video will premiere on this website soon.
